The Villero Riserva is made up of 100% Michet clone Nebbiolo, and all fruit comes from the Villero vineyard in Castiglione Falletto where the vines are planted to southwestern exposure. The vines are on average 41 years old and the soil is moderately packed clay with white and blue marlstone. After harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation as well as maceration in stainless steel. The wine proceeds to go through malolactic fermentation in small oak barrels, then is transferred to larger oak casks to finish aging. The wine is bottling without filtration.
