The Estate bottled wine is from Moscato grapes which are selected from 40-year-old vines on the Vietti estate located in Castiglione Tinella. Only the best grapes with extended maturation are used for the Cascinetta. The grapes are crushed, pressed and naturally clarified. Alcoholic fermentation (which is stopped at 5.5% abv) occurs in stainless steel autoclave to preserve natural CO2 from the fermentation. There is no malolactic fermentation, which helps to preserve acidity, varietal fruit character and freshness.
Pale sunshine yellow color and slight frizzante, this Moscato d’Asti has intense aromas of peaches, rose petals and ginger. On the palate it is delicately sweet and sparkling with modest acidity, goodbalance, good complexity and a finish of fresh apricots.
