The Blueprint wines are made as a modern interpretation of the most classical Bordeaux varieties. The Lail team has attempted and succeeded in capturing the ever-shining sunlight of the Napa Valley, transforming it into robustly flavorful wine that drinks beautifully upon release. The term 'crowd pleaser' comes to mind! "Blueprint" is named after Jon Lail's highly regarded architectural design achievements. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is from Crocker Vineyard in St. Helena, Farella Vineyard and Rewa Vineyard in Coombsville. It is fermented in French oak barrels (roughly 30% new) and aged in stainless steel. Aromatically this wine has notes of ripe tropical fruits such as mango and pineapples, with additions perfumes of honeysuckle and lime zest. On the palate the wine is ripe and bright, with fresh peaches and cream, honeydew, and crunchy pears.
