The vineyard "Magone" is only 7.000 square meters (22 square feet) and, initially it was 75% Montepulciano and 25% Trebbiano. In 1980 it was re-grafted with Pinot Noir. The grapes remain in contact with their skins, spending
most of their time in stainless steel. The wine is aged in barrels for 12 months and then in bottle for at least 6 months. There is a scent of woody fruit with an elegant wood base. The wine has a spicy component with some tannin. It is a perfect accompaniment to all roast and stewed meat dishes such as country style chicken, roast-beef, boar stew or roast duck.
