"Delivers mouthwatering acidity, gushing with lime juice, lemongrass, fresh thyme and green apple flavors. Very intense and focused, with a freshness and vibrancy. Drink now."

WINE
2009 Margerum Sauvignon Blanc Sybarite
Margerum Wine Company

It was a furious harvest with lots of fruit and exceptional quality that ripened all at once. The wine is a blend of 21% Grassini Vineyard, 7% McGinley Vineyards (AKA Westerly Vineyard), 10% Vogelzang Vineyard, and 2% Purisima Mountain Vineyard fruit. We have increased the skin contact times, we still stir the lees up weekly, and there is a small portion that is barrel aged. As always, tremendous persistence, bright flavors, some mineral, tinge of grapefruit, lip smacking, and lengthy. SYBARITE complements my triumvirate of assemblages: SYBARITE, M5, and ÜBER. Just like Disney’s Mouseketeers’ we have a little chant: S Y – Santa Ynez Valley, B A R – Santa Barbara, R I T E – so right, sybarite, it is good for you and me!
